Weekend Breakfast Bundle - Pork
Weekend mornings are meant for sleeping in and eating well. We’ve packed all your breakfast heroes into one ultimate bundle:
-
Crispy Bacon: Premium cured cuts that sizzle to perfection.
-
Artisanal Smoked Pork Sausages: Coarse-ground and naturally smoked for deep, rich flavor.
-
Savory Sausage Patties: Perfectly spiced and ready to sear for the ultimate breakfast sandwich.
Here is a classic, Diner-style breakfast recipe that brings all those elements together seamlessly. The trick here is one-pan efficiency—using the bacon and sausage fats to toast the bread and cook the eggs so every single component carries that rich, savory flavor.
The Ultimate Weekend Breakfast Platter
A classic, comforting skillet breakfast featuring crispy bacon, savory seared patties, and rich, glossy eggs.
Ingredients
-
2-3 strips Premium Bacon
-
2 Pork Sausage Patties
-
2 Large Eggs
-
2 slices Sourdough, Brioche, or your favorite artisanal bread
-
1 tbsp Butter (optional, for the bread)
-
Finely cracked black pepper and flaky sea salt
The Method
Start your bacon in a cold, dry skillet over medium heat. Cooking it slowly from cold allows the fat to render completely, ensuring maximum crispiness. Flip occasionally. Once deeply golden and crisp, remove and drain on paper towels. Keep the rendered fat in the pan!
In the same pan with the hot bacon fat, add your sausage patties. Sear for about 2–3 minutes per side until they develop a rich, dark brown crust and are cooked through. Remove and set aside with the bacon.
Don't clean the pan yet! Place your bread slices directly into the remaining pork fat (add a touch of butter if the pan looks dry). Toast until golden brown and crispy on both sides, soaking up all those savory pan drippings. Remove to your serving plate.
Turn the heat down to medium-low. Crack your eggs directly into the skillet. For Sunny-Side Up, let them cook undisturbed until the whites are set but the yolks are runny. For Over-Easy, flip gently after 2 minutes and cook for just 30 seconds more.
Pro-Tip for Assembly: Use the toasted bread as the foundation. You can serve this as a traditional open platter, or layer a sausage patty, a crispy strip of bacon, and an over-easy egg right between the toasted bread slices for an unforgettable, dripping breakfast sandwich.
